Best websites to boost your business.
In the world of continuous improvement, I’m always looking for resources that will help me improve upon the work that I already do. Below are a list of my favourite websites I routinely visit to acquire inspiration, information and ideas. I hope you find them as useful as I do!
www.lean.org
This is an amazing website full of excellent information for anyone looking for efficiency, productivity or lean related material. The Lean Institute was founded by James P. Womack in 1997 and is a non-profit education, publishing, research, and conference organization. They provided excellent information and are a great resource centre on anything and everything Lean related.
www.inc.com
I really like this magazine and their website. They do a great job of providing a wealth of business and leadership related articles that can be used in everyday life. I constantly read great articles and pull tidbits that support the work I do. Perhaps one day I will write a few feature articles for them. I am sending out the intention!
www.tinybudda.com
I believe that understanding who we are (our inner journey) is important and critical to executing what we do (our outer journey). Our personal and business life should not be separated. How we look at things determines how we approach problems and suggests solutions. This site provides a perspective that is important for the soul. If our soul is joyful and at peace then this impacts what we do and how we do it.
www.google.com/images
I’ve said this before, a picture is worth a thousand words. I use images to inspire me and to create new ideas and spark my creativity. If I don’t know what I want to do, I just start looking at images and see what pops up. I am always pleasantly surprised at what I gravitate towards and how it unfolds into an idea that I will eventually implement.
www.twitter.com
I’m blessed to have an assortment of amazing twitter friends (check out my feed and connect with me). I love reading their tweets and any articles that they share. I have gotten some great reference material from them that I would not have found on my own. So I highly recommend clicking on the links and doing a deeper dive into the content of the tweet. You will be surprised what you may find.
I could definitely continue on with this list, but this is my top 5 resources that I like to visit. We all have our ‘go to’ resource that we constantly rely upon. It’s these resources that give us our inspiration, information and ideas to create the great work that we do.
I am looking forward to hearing from you regarding your list. Please drop me a line and share with me your favourite resources.
