Why I’m pumped to attend this conference
I love being an entrepreneur. Owning my own small business has opened so many doors for me. It’s leading me down an awesome journey and has allowed me to follow my own passion. It has been the most rewarding professional experience of my life.
When I was offered a ticket to attend The Art of Small Business, a great conference that is coming to Toronto on October 21, 2013, in exchange for sharing with you this blog about the conference, I jumped at the chance.
The Art of Small Business is an exciting new addition to “The Art of” series – and it promises to elevate my business to the next level with its fantastic line up of speakers.
My top 3 must-see speakers are:
1. Chris Guillebeau, New York Times Bestselling Author of The $100 Startup – is sharing his valuable lessons from those who’ve learned how to turn what they do into a gateway to self-fulfillment. Something I believe strongly in.
2. Stephen Shapiro, Innovation Consultant, Speaker & Author of Personality Poker & Best Practices Are Stupid – focuses on how to enable innovation by bringing together divergent points of view in an efficient manner. Now that’s right up my alley!
3. Mitch Joel, President of Twist Image & Bestselling Author of Six Pixels of Separation & Ctrl Alt Delete – promises to share insights about rethinking my advertising dollar. Something I don’t have a lot of experience with, so it’s a great learning opportunity for me. I’ll be absorbing as much as I can.

If you plan on attending, do let me know, conferences are about networking just as much as they’re about learning, I’d love to see you there.
