Do online meetings make your team feel disconnected? Integrate these activities!
Do you want to do some team bonding activities with your team but everybody is working from a virtual office? You’ll be surprised, and hopefully relieved, to know that you CAN have effective team bonding virtually.
I want to share with you some simple but powerful team bonding activities that you can introduce to your team and become your team’s virtual meeting superhero. Team building and connection is more important now than ever since it can be more difficult to feel connected virtually. So, you definitely won’t want to miss out on these.
Virtual Meeting Activity #1 – “Cutie Pie”
This game is called “Cutie Pie” and is sure to break the ice and bring laughs to your team. You’ll need to ask everyone to send, in advance, a picture of them from when they were a baby. You’ll then want to incorporate the pictures into the PowerPoint so that during the meeting, you can explain the game to the team and when a baby picture shows up on the slide, everyone has to guess who it’s a picture of! This can be done by getting team members to either shout it out or write their answer in the chat.
Virtual Meeting Activity #2 – “Once upon a time”
This is another fun one that brings about creativity and fits of laughter! Everyone is going to collectively create a fictional story in a round-robin fashion. How this works is that the facilitator starts out the story with one sentence; for example, “Once upon a time there was a boy.” Everyone then takes turns saying only ONE sentence to build the story, and the story must come to a conclusion by the time it reaches the last person (try to avoid putting that person in the position of having to scramble for an ending).
More Virtual Meeting Activities
I have TWO MORE virtual meeting activities that I want to share with you; I’ve already explained them in detail in a video that you can watch. If you want more options of how to incorporate team building activities into your virtual meetings (and tips on how to do so) then please, join me over on YouTube for a few minutes so we can talk about some additional ideas as well as how and when to incorporate them.
I can’t wait to see you there, and I’m excited to hear about how these team building activities go for you and your team!
