Step-by-step tutorial for total beginners!

So, you need to make a Gantt chart that’s fast and easy but you have ZERO experience doing it. Where do you even begin?

It might sound overwhelming, but it’s actually quite easy. Let’s dive into a simple step-by-step way to do it.

Start with the basics

The first thing you need to do when it comes to making a Gantt chart in Excel is to get all your information down.

Make a column to write all your action items, and then subsequent columns for your start date, end date, and the duration of each item.

This is your really basic information and starting point that you need to create the Gantt chart.

Create the chart

Next, you’ll want to get the chart set up by adding the bar chart feature to your Excel page.

I wish I could explain how to do all that right here, but the truth is it’s a lot easier to just show you (and it will be a lot easier for you to follow when you see it visually).

So, let’s head over to YouTube so that I can actually SHOW you the whole step-by-step process!

Meanwhile, if you really are committed to mastering your next project, do consider taking my SLAY Project Management online course where I show you step-by-step how to successfully manage a project, plus you get access to every template you will need, along with detailed video instructions on how to fill them out.
