Activities that will make your employees feel appreciated and empowered!
Are you looking for some ideas on how to show your employees that they are an integral part of your team?
Showing appreciation is an important and effective way to encourage a positive and motivating work environment. Here are some ideas on how you can make your employees feel genuinely appreciated!
-
Field trips
One way to show employee appreciation is to take your team on fun field trips. Find out from them what activities they would be interested in doing and then make it happen!
The options for what to do are endless. My team has done everything you can think of for field trip days: dinners, pedicures, going to a live musical production, painting lessons, and even horseback riding.
Finding out what your team would be interested in doing is a really great way to get to know them and bond over something fun.

Work anniversaries
We tend to put emphasis on birthdays, but a work anniversary is also a big deal. Keep track of your employees’ work anniversaries so you can celebrate them!
Sending a simple “congrats” over email can go a really long way. Or you can even give a gift that’s appropriate based on how many years that individual has worked with the organization. This is a simple but meaningful way to acknowledge the hard work the individual does for the organization.

Town hall meetings
This might sound a little more serious than the other suggestions, but this is a great way to encourage collaboration and make employees feel heard and cared about.
Company town hall meetings usually consist of bringing in the whole organization, including the senior management. This is an opportunity for employees to ask senior management some really good questions.
When you take the time to bring everyone together, it shows your employees that their opinion matters and that they are truly important.
