What you need to deliver in every stage of your project

Whether your project is tiny or colossal, you need to know what project manager deliverables are required for every stage of the project so that your project is successful.

But what are project manager deliverables?

I’m not talking about your final deliverable at the end of the project. I’m talking about what you need to give to your stakeholders as a project manager throughout each stage of your project.

These are items that your stakeholders need to be successful so that your overall deliverable is successful.

So, what are these project manager deliverables in each stage of the project? Let’s get into it.

Initiation Stage Deliverables

The Initiation Stage is where you get your marching orders – and it’s where you need to define and authorize the project.

As a project manager, your deliverable is not just to walk away and start executing. You need to focus on two key documents:

  • Scope statement
  • Priority matrix

In the ideal world, your sponsor would have given you a scope statement when they gave you the project, but this doesn’t usually happen.

Putting together these two initial documents will help you start understanding key pieces of the project including scope, time, and budget so that you know where to go next.
