I love the versatility of project management tools and templates, especially when they’re used to enhance business activities outside of projects.
Small businesses can benefit from using project management tools and templates to boost their levels of business efficiency and productivity. Let’s look at my favourite versatile project tools.
Risk planning documents
These are critical on projects because let’s face it – risk happens. It’s a reality you will deal with on every single project. By planning for risk – and developing contingency and mitigation plans before risk occurs – you’ll minimize its impact on your project.
The same is true for your business, where planning in advance for the eventuality of risk will lessen any negative impact. You can use risk planning documents to help with yearly planning, or even when you’re working on developing strategy or communications.
When it comes down to it, they’re a great tool for looking at the potential risks associated with anything that is important to your business, and you can put them to good use anywhere you want to minimize the chance that risk will negatively affect your business.
