You’re About To Get So Much More Done!
Achieving peak productivity is crucial for any project manager who wants to deliver quality results on time and within budget. Being productive allows you to achieve more with less –time, effort, and resources.
Luckily, I don’t just have tons of project management experience under my belt. I’m also a productivity expert, and I’m going to share some of my favourite tips for achieving peak productivity.
Productivity tip #1: identify all your project priority items
As a PM you’re constantly juggling all kinds of balls, but they’re not all equal priority. It becomes important to understand which of them are top priority and which fall lower on the scale of priorities. That way, as your project unfolds, you’ll be able to figure out where to best focus your attention.
That’s the life of a PM – constantly trying to determine out how to do what we need to do to hit our final deadline.
The best place to do this is in a Work Breakdown Structure, or WBS, where you map out all your project’s moving parts and identify the key priority items.
Using a WBS will help you protect your time and ensure the most important items get done on time. That’s one of the key things I cover with my SLAY Project Management students.
