Let’s start with some simple, lean ideas
Integrating lean methodology is not an overnight task but there is one thing you can start doing today, focus on simplicity. Complexity causes waste. Complexity is not about analyzing or improving what you already have but adding more layers to the existing problems without thinking how each “solution” interacts and ultimately impacts the problem area you are trying to solve.
Complex “solutions” create waste in our ways of working on projects and processes. Simplicity, on the other hand, forces you to question all activities and streamline ways of working by focusing on eliminating waste in your activities.
Do you have examples of waste in your office? Feel free to leave a comment below or shout out to us on Facebook or Twitter. Of course, you could always write your own blog post on the subject and share it with us… We’d love to read it!
