About Mindfulness

Mindfulness dates back to 400 BC but has become a buzzword in the Western world recently. But it’s much more than just a buzzword, it’s the answer to emotional freedom. Google, Intel, GE and other corporations have adopted mindfulness leadership, wellness and performance strategy. So, what exactly is mindfulness? Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, professor emeritus of the  University of Massachusetts Medical School, has the most widely-used definitions of mindfulness “paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment and non-judgmentally.”

Mindfulness is the practice of staying connected to the present moment. Mindfulness can be used as a preventive measure for stress, anxiety and difficulties with concentration. Adriana will teach you techniques in mindfulness to help you reduce your stress, and enjoy life to its fullest.

Adriana completed her Foundations of Applied Mindfulness Certification at the University of Toronto in July 2017, and is en route towards completing the internationally acclaimed Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program, developed by Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn at the Center for Mindfulness, University of Massachusetts Medical School. This half day course includes: what is mindfulness and its benefits, the science of mindfulness, different types of mindfulness techniques, and hands on practice of selected techniques. Once complete, your employees will be able to choose which techniques to incorporate into their day-to-day lives which will help them be less stressed and more productive at work.
