Proven tips to guide more than one project to success!
Have you seen other project managers successfully manage multiple projects, but you wonder if YOU have what it takes to do the same?
Well, you do. All you need is a few simple techniques and you’ll be able to manage multiple projects without compromising their success or drowning in work.
Learn the art of project prioritization
Proper prioritization is an art. You need to be able to feel it out as you go through the projects and determine what you need to focus on most immediately.
The best way to do this? Put all your key milestones of your different projects into the same central timeline – just for you. This will enable you to look at the upcoming day or week and decide what your priorities are.
What is priority 1? Priority 2? 3?
This will help you understand what you have to work on and what you must guide your team members to work on.
It’s not always easy to figure out what to prioritize but be patient with yourself and kind to yourself as you learn this.
Identify your MVP’s
It will be a huge help to you if you identify most valuable players on each team that you’re leading. This means you know who you can go to and rely on – the key people that you can connect with one-on-one who really understand what is going on.
Maintain good communication with these people to ensure that they are taking care of things and that the project is on track.
And keep in mind, you don’t want to micromanage. Simply focus on delegating and setting your key players up for success with clear communication because this will help you tremendously.
